What is PatientsFIRST?

Texas physicians united in 2005 to form PatientsFIRST, a coalition of physicians to ensure that Texas patients receive the best medical care. Texas physicians are committed to delivering the best medical care and protecting the safety of our patients. The expansion of the medical scope of practice lowers the standard of care and places our patients at risk.

Through the PatientsFIRST coalition, physicians will stridently oppose any efforts to expand any scope of practice. Only physicians are qualified to practice medicine and to exercise independent medical judgment, plain and simple.
