Texas Pain Society presents five awards annually. All awards are presented at the Texas Pain Society's Annual Scientific Meeting.

Samuel J. Hassenbusch Lectureship Award |
This annual award was created to honor the memory of Dr. Sam Hassenbusch. It will be presented to an individual based on their research and academic achievements, professional contributions to pain management, among other criteria.

Heavner Basic Science Lectureship |
This annual award was created to honor the memory and efforts of Dr. James Heavner. It will be presented to an individual based on their research and academic achievements, professional contributions to pain management, among other criteria.

Pain Management Scholarships |
The Pain Management Scholarships are annual scholarships that are open to Texas fellows and residents with an interest in pain medicine. There are a limited number of scholarships that are available.

Hassenbusch Continued Learning Case Study Award |
The Samuel J. Hassenbusch, MD, PhD Continued Learning Case Study award are presented each year to the top five reviewed cases. Winners are invited to the annual meeting to present their case live in front of the membership.

Schade Hill Public Policy Pain Champion Award |
This award is inspired by Drs. C.M. Schade & Stratton Hill to recognize the outstanding work of an individual or group of individuals who have helped make positive changes in the world of pain medicine.
