Originally from Egypt, Dr. Mina earned his medical degree with honors from Ain Shams University in 1991. He completed his residency at UT Health Science Center in Houston, where he was chief resident and awarded Best Resident for regional anesthesia. He completed a pain management fellowship at UT Health San Antonio. With over 20 years of practice in San Antonio, Dr. Mina serves as adjunct clinical faculty at UTHSCSA. He holds memberships in multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists and Pain Management and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Mina is the chair of the pain medicine department at the South Texas Spine and Surgical Hospital. Dr. Mina has received numerous awards, including the Humanitarian Award from Baptist Health System in 2013. He is also heavily involved in medical missions in Africa. Gulshan Doulatram, MD![]() Dr. Gulshan Doulatram is a Professor and Chief of Pain Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. With medical training from India and a residency and fellowship completed at UTMB, Dr. Doulatram specializes in musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain, with a focus on pain management in the elderly. She also leads quality initiatives on safe opioid prescribing at her institution. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Doulatram is an avid hiker and wellness enthusiast. Max Eckmann, MD![]() Dr. Max Eckmann is the Professor & Chair, Department of Anesthesiology at UT Health San Antonio. He was awarded the Ramamurthy Professorship in Pain Medicine and serves as a Board of Directors, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine as well as a past President of Texas Pain Society. Christopher Yopp, MD, MPH![]() Dr. Christopher Yopp is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. He earned degrees in History and Molecular Biology from Cornell University and his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Finn is President (2022) of the American Board of Pain Medicine and has served on their Exam Council for 20 years. He served on the Colorado Governor’s Task Force on Amendment 64, which legalized marijuana for recreational use, Consumer Safety and Social Issues Work Group (2012), and served four years on Colorado’s Medical Marijuana Scientific Advisory Council (2014-18). He is certified in Cannabis Science from the University of Colorado Health Science Center (2022). He was an invited speaker to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna in March 2023. Dr. Vinh has spent years serving the country as a United States Naval Officer.
